Someone with a "D" type personality may have the Gift of Showing Mercy. The person often demands that everyone show mercy. Another person with the Gift of Prophecy and Perceiving may have an "S" type personality. He or she will probably confront others with biblical truth, then ask forgiveness for being so hard on them.

By identifying how spiritual gifts and personality types relate to each other, you and others will better understand why people do what they do and were to place them in the ministries of the church. Finding a person's SHAPE by assessing their spiritual gifts and DISC personality types is extremely practical and spiritually profitable. It actually more than pays for itself. When people serve in their churches, then are more faithful in attendance and giving.

Getting members involved in the ministries of your church is especially imperative for their spiritual growth. Members are more apt to volunteer once they first join or make a commitment to your church.
