Once members have gone through the Meaning & Purpose
class, they should be introduced to the Membership & Ministry resources. There are four different (7, 9, 16
and 23 spiritual gifts) lists Member's Guides. The 4 in 1 Facilitator's
Manual and PowerPoint Presentation includes 4 Spiritual Gifts Lists in 1 manual. The
facilitator can review and then easily choose which list his or her church
prefers to use.
Getting members involved in the ministries of your church is
imperative for their spiritual growth. Members are more apt to volunteer
once they first join or make a commitment to your church. This course
purposely does not wait until a later class to recruit members because they
will feel more obligated when they first join, rather than waiting till later
when they have settled into being "spectators" or "investigators."
The Membership & Ministry Class can be taught as a stand-alone
New or Current Members' Class or as part of the Personalizing
My Faith complete package. All members, whether new or old, should
discover their giftedness in order to get involved in the ministries of their
church. God's biblical plan of discipleship is to assimilate members into
their local body so they will be "jointly fit together," while "every joint
supplies to the need of the body."

DISC Questionnaire, the Member's Guide identifies members' primary
and secondary spiritual gifts and personality types. The Member's Guide
also demonstrates how spiritual gifts and personality types relate to each
other, plus where they fit best in the ministries of your church.
Once each member's giftedness is identified and fitted for ministry, the
Member's Guide also focuses on Biblical Conflict Resolution. This
is so important! Most people get uninvolved and resist involvement in
ministry because of misunderstandings and abuses. Most of the problems
in the church today are not theological. They are relational & personality
clashes and spiritual gifts conflicts with other church or staff members.
